Often times, the product owner comes with just an idea of how the proposed product should work and nothing more – they often have no suggestions regarding implementation procedures. At this stage, we usually piece together every bit of their ideas in order to define the primary needs and concerns of their product.

As soon as we have defined the final product with the desired features as per the product owner’s requirements, we’ll proceed with product design. This phase is usually broad and most of the activities in this phase includes the following: Interface design and Process design, Systems design.

We often call this the “Build phase” not only because we actually do run the “build” commands (depending on the type of product) but because it is at this stage, we begin to build the product proper. Here, we import the required libraries & modules. Then, we carefully write programming instructions or codes (line-by-line) until the product is fully designed and functional to specification.
